M3 | Messenger partners with It Takes a Village
Our team recognizes the importance of giving back to the community. Every winter we participate in the YouthCare Holiday Wishes program to provide gifts and necessities for the local youth. This year we have also teamed up with the non-profit, It Takes A Village, to fundraise, make, and distribute bags for the homeless. We ask for your support with It Takes A Village and to join us for celebration, food, and drinks while we put the bags together Saturday, December 12th.
It Takes a Village Story
It Takes a Village was started in 2015 by its Founder, Arita Jacobs-Kalyan. Previous to this Arita, her family and friends started getting together yearly in her apartment to make bags for the homeless. Since then it has grown into something much bigger and with a lot more participants. After falling on hard times Arita decided to use her experience to help to reach out to other individuals and families to make a positive impact in her community. Arita knows the immense pressure someone may feel when struggling to make ends meet. That is why she has made it her mission to help serve as many individuals and families as possible. Why Your Donation Counts
ITAV survives on the kind hearted donations given. Please remember when donating that there is no such thing as too little of a donation. You are helping to support hard working individuals and families that have fallen on hard times. May it be a family member falling ill or balancing work and family responsibilities, we sometimes fall on hard times and need a little help. Your contribution helps to bless another.
It Takes a Village is a non-profit organization dedicated to serving individual and families in need. Our goal is to break down those barriers that hard working individuals and families face when they exceed requirements for low income or homeless families but are in need of assistance. We understand that people fall on hard times and want to be that hope for our community.
Yearly ITAV makes blessing bags for the homeless. This includes items such as beanies, socks, gloves hand warmers and even food to help them get through. This year our goal is to make 250 bags that include the following items:
Beanie · Gloves · Socks · Hand Warmer · Inspiration Cards · Tooth Paste · Tooth Brush · Wet Ones · Water · Crackers · Granola Bars · Caprisun/Sunny D · Pudding Cups · Peanuts · Fruit Snacks · Fruit Cup
